I have owned the little bar in Avoca and have the past two Quack Off's. We have such a blast that day every year. I do have to say that the liquor laws are not ignored for the day but we found a way to work with them to keep everybody safe from overzealous law enforcement by simply surrounding the area with a fence and calling it a beer garden. I went to the duck races last year. We left Omaha at 6:30 or some ungodly hour in the morning; took a bus down. They had trivia contests on the bus ride down and I won a plastic ring that featured a robot that boxed. I filled a thermos of bloody-mary which I enjoyed throughout the day.
