Yeah, it could be worse. :-) But I'm not out of the woods yet.
I've been riding the debian "unstable" branch since late 1999, I think. It has always been more stable than the official releases of other distributions. I have an urge to try ubuntu, but have become a bit lazy with the ease of keeping this machine updated as-is.
Fate may be forcing the issue on me here. ;)
This is my work machine. I don't dual-boot because I don't do windows. Maybe if MacOS X is released for vanilla x86 machines, I'd repartition.
I am an ubuntu whore. i host two very popular packages, automatix and compiz, using up about 1tb of bandwidth a week. My wife even uses ubuntu at work. Kinda lucky working in the tech center of the legislature, I get to play with linux all day. Most of our servers 80% are running debian unstable as well.
we run a mirror as well mirror.ne.gov, it is really nice to have your own mirror.
beer, for sure, now all I have to do is figure out who you are ;)
Pohl is an epiphyte comprised of a dynamic meme-complex growing on a hyper-specialized cell colony substrate — just like everybody else, except he doesn't like to travel.
